Kevin Lee Will

Kevin L. Will, of Hustisford, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 24, 2015, in Hustisford, WI at the age of 56. He was born July 29, 1959, in Hartford, WI, the son of Carl and Betty (Hackbarth) Will. He was baptized on August 9, 1959 and confirmed on April 8, 1973 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Neosho, WI. Kevin was a lifelong member of St. Matthew’s. Kevin, or better known as “Weeble,” was an avid hunter and fisherman who knew more secret hunting and fishing locations than anyone else in Wisconsin. He loved spending time in the woods and around the campfire with family and close friends in Buffalo County and by Lake Sharon, especially when wearing camo and Weeble’s signature long-johns. Kevin was especially proud to guide and watch each of his children get their first buck. Kevin grew up and lived in Hustisford his entire life. When he graduated from Hustisford High School in 1977, he began his 37-year long career as a skilled carpenter and membership in the Milwaukee Carpenters Union, Local 2283. He married his high-school sweetheart, Linda (Kirchoff), on August 20, 1983 at Bethany Lutheran Evangelical Church in Hustisford, WI. Kevin was active in softball and bowling leagues in Hustisford and was a member of Hustisford Jaycees and Ducks Unlimited for many years. Kevin enjoyed picking up “road-kill,” gardening, cooking, canning, and a newly found interest in wine-making. He will most certainly be remembered for his sense of humor, embellished storytelling, and natural ability to make people laugh. Kevin is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Helen Will and Clara and Herbert Hackbarth, his mother and father-in law, Palmer and Bernice Kirchoff, his brother-in-law Richard Kirchoff, and sister-in-law Rachel Mueller. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Kirchoff); his children, Melissa, Kyle, Leah (fiancé Cody Pesch), and Kayla (fiancé Shane Strassman); his parents Carl and Betty Will; his brother and sister, Gary (Sue) Will of Watertown, WI, and Renee (Lance) Donegon, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kristine (Arland) Kluewer, Ronald (Jennifer) Kirchoff, Scott Mueller, Rebecca (Raymond) Peplinski, all of Hustisford, and Pauline (Daniel) Quest of Missouri. He was a loving husband for 32 years. Kevin was a proud father and had a special bond with his four beautiful children, whom he loved with all his heart. He was loved by many people and will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, and all of his family, friends, and community. Visitation will be Saturday, August 29 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church in Hustisford, WI and Sunday, August 30 from 12 to 2:30 p.m. Funeral service will start at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church. The Rev. Timothy Bauer will officiate. Interment will be in Hustisford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
