Donna Mae Komp

Donna Mae (Reich) Komp, passed away July 30, 2011 from complications due to pneumonia. She was born December 16, 1939 in Pittsville, WI, the daughter of Otto and Bernice (nee Brey) Reich. Donna worked as a Nurses’ Aid at (Gateway Nursing Home) Hartford Care Center, and graduated in 1986 from Moraine Park Technical Institute as Pre-Service Nursing Assistant. She had attended church on a regular basis and volunteered at community events. Donna was a warm, loving and cheerful spirit, who offered to help out when she could. She had a wit and innocent charm about her, that people loved to be around, and an amazing memory for certain things, especially numbers. She enjoyed sewing anything from clothes to curtains, and was very good around a kitchen, cooking different things and a variety of big meals, and loved baking. As an outdoors person in the summer, she was in the yard gardening flowers and vegetables. Donna was always making something for everyone to enjoy. She touched many peoples’ hearts throughout her life and will be missed dearly by all who knew and love her. She is survived by her daughter Linda Fritsch of West Bend, her son Mathew (Angela) Komp, and their sons Isaac, Braiden and Austin, of Waupun, Donna’s step-daughter Amy (Tom) Bush, and their sons Jake (Chrissy) Komp and Justin Komp of Hartford, and her step-daughter Melissa (John) Pecunia, and their sons Andrew and Nicholas of Germantown. Donna is also survived by her brother, Jerome (Conception) Reich, and nephew James Reich of Pittsville, her brother, Ronald (Jean) Reich of Hartford, nephew Timothy (Anna) Reich, and their children of Arlington Heights, Illinois, her niece Pamela (Jeffery) Gudex, and their children of West Bend, her sister, Gloria Lafferty, nephew Daniel and niece Ginger from Connecticut and her sister Charlene (Daniel) Ward of Arkansas. Donna is preceded in death by her husband Jerome Komp, who passed away September 29, 1987. Visitation Friday, August 5 from 5-7 pm at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, 226 S. Main Street, Hartford. Service will follow at 7 PM at the funeral home. Rev. David LaPlante will officiate. Interment Saturday 10:30 AM at St. Kilian’s Catholic Cemetery.
